The opening begins on June 8 at 3:00 PM.
The exhibition will run until June 20. Starting June 13, admission to the exhibition will require a museum ticket.
Opening remarks will be delivered by Archbishop Gintaras Grušas and Adriana Acutis, Vice President of the Carlo Acutis Foundation and a relative of Carlo Acutis. The exhibition is organized by the Carlo Acutis Foundation in cooperation with Albertina Art Gallery.
Through a series of video installations, visitors will encounter images of Christ from different historical periods and discover the iconographic connections linking early Christianity, Byzantine icons, Renaissance art, and contemporary visual culture. The central focus of the exhibition is the image of the Merciful Jesus and its relationship to the Shroud of Turin.
On June 9, we invite congress participants to a unique panel discussion on the relationship between pastoral ministry and art, entitled “Faces in the Face.” The panel will feature Archbishop Gintaras Grušas, Dr. Adriana Acutis, and Dr. Giedrė Mickūnaitė
These events are part of the programme of the World Apostolic Congress on Mercy.
